| Parent-child conflict is inevitable especially during the years of biological, emotional and psychological changes that occur as a child begins puberty and enters adolescence. During these critical years, keeping your parental authority intact while building a strong and influential relationship with your teen is not an easy task. It requires a positive outlook and attitude partnered with good role modeling aimed towards transforming any form of conflict into improved communications and harmonious relations embraced with love and understanding. Fountain International School believes that every child must be raised to become capable of demonstrating responsible behavior shunning negative influences that may affect the choices one makes. An attitude of success enables the youth to make judicious decisions, choose a constructive life path and grow up as competent adults. The parenting seminar scheduled on January 9, 2010 at 9 o'clock for the parents / guardians of our grades 5, 6 and first year students and on January 16, 2010 9 o'clock for the parents / guardians of our 2nd, 3rd & 4th year students is designed to enhance and strengthen your beliefs and capabilities in preparing your children for their development and transition from childhood to becoming teen-agers. Likewise, we aim to show a way how your own parenting style affects your child’s ability to be accountable and how to role model the very behaviors you want and expect from your child. |
