FUN in ANTIPOLO PDF Print E-mail

The lucky FIS grade 4-6 students had their camp-out on February 11-12 at  Eugenio Lopez Center .

It is a tradition that is conceptualized for the intermediate grades. The students went there not only to have fun but to have team building activities. They were encouraged to see themselves with other schoolmates, how to be in a group with various backgrounds and interests and act accordingly.

The first stop was at Eugenio Lopez Center where facilitators gave the students team building activities which are grouped according to their grade level. In the afternoon, the students had supervised games and had swimming in a warm yet cooling water of the pool of the hotel where they stayed. The accommodation gave them the chance to be with their friends in a different way. It was different for some of them were their first time to be away from their families, away from their loved- ones, who even to their most minute need the students have are served and extended.

On their way back the following day, they stopped at a shoe manufacturing. The shops were amazing because the prices seemed cheap. The students wished their parents were with them to do the shopping.

The camp-out time was limited. The students have a lot more energy to be challenged and to be cultivated but they have be home to see what academic lessons they missed, the lessons the other students took when they were out. Few intermediate were in school and attended regular classes, they, who chose not to join the camp-out.

The camp-out was exciting and informative and everyone hopes that this activity continues. It is further hoped that all will go to experience the unique camping outside the city. To all the teachers and the Management, the students say thank you  for this opportunity.
